Hi, I’m Joyce and I am the keeper of the blog. I am currently in my fifties and my birthday is in February. That would make me an Aquarius. I have been married to my best friend for thirty-five years and we have five beautiful daughters and eight wonderful grandchildren (five heartbeats and three heart strings). My joy is my family! I describe myself as an old soul with music in my bones.

In 2014, I created this blog to share the story of the life that I can now appreciate. For years, I was emotionally stagnant…afraid to deal with any type of emotional pain. Day after day, I buried the best parts of me. I could not be my authentic self. Pain from the past left me with broken, silent pieces…but I did the work to make my life better!

Today, I no longer reminisce about the mistakes of my past, but I embrace the investments that I have made for a brighter future. I am in a good place in my life right now. I am passionate about living my life to the fullest and confident that I can.
